Cleaning & Washing
Machine-assisted scrubbing to lift embedded dirt, grease and residue from tile, stone and hard floors.
Overview
When mopping no longer lifts the grey film from tile joints or the residue built up in a service kitchen, scrubbing is the next step. Floor scrubbing uses brushes and suitable cleaning solutions to agitate embedded dirt. It is aimed at hard floors that are structurally sound but visibly tired.
Scrubbing works by agitating the surface and grout lines with a brush or pad under a cleaning solution, then extracting or rinsing the loosened residue. The method and pad are chosen according to the floor, since unglazed tile, polished marble and sealed concrete each respond differently. Edges are hand-scrubbed where machines cannot reach.
Scrubbing improves cleanliness but does not repair surfaces. Etched stone, worn glaze, deep scratches and stained porous grout may improve without being fully restored. Timber, laminate and some vinyl floors are not suitable for wet scrubbing, and we will advise accordingly before any work begins. Where scrubbing is not suitable, a gentler maintenance clean is usually the safer recommendation.
Final scope is confirmed in your written quotation after assessment.
