Gypsum Partition

Partitions are built from a metal frame lined with gypsum board on both sides, sometimes with insulation inside for sound reduction. Openings for doors, windows and services are framed in as the wall goes up. Because the construction is lightweight, it suits upper floors and locations where heavy work is difficult.

Performance depends on the build-up. A simple single-board wall gives visual separation, while multiple layers and insulation improve sound privacy. Fire or acoustic ratings are not something we claim here, and where they are required, the specification must come from building management or the relevant authority. In apartments, villas and offices, partitions can change fire, AC and safety arrangements, so approval from building management or landlord is often needed.
