Base units are set to a common height, wall units are aligned from a datum line, and fixings are chosen to suit the wall material, whether blockwork, concrete or lightweight partition. Doors and drawers are then adjusted until the gaps are even and everything opens smoothly.
The outcome depends on the cabinet quality, the wall construction and how accurately the room was measured. Cutting around pipes, extraction ducts and appliances needs patience, and the worktop supplier often needs the units fitted first. This service suits customers who already have the cabinets or are buying them separately. If the units are damaged or poorly made, repair or replacement may be a better first step.
