Not every kitchen needs replacing. Kitchen cabinet modification adapts what you already have, whether that is fitting a new hob, adding drawers or changing door styles. WrapRevive assesses the existing carcasses and suggests changes that are practical and tidy.
The work starts by checking the condition of the carcasses. If they are sound, modifications can include altering cut-outs for a bigger sink or hob, adding pull-out storage, replacing door fronts, changing handles and adding or moving shelves. Alterations are marked out carefully so edges are sealed and exposed board is protected from kitchen moisture.
Results depend on the original construction and how much structure can be altered without weakening it. Cutting into old particleboard in a damp kitchen can be unpredictable, and some changes may not be sensible. Modification suits customers who like their kitchen layout but need it updated. If the layout is the problem, or the cabinets are badly damaged, replacement or renovation is likely better.
