Good lighting is layered. A living room might combine general ceiling light with wall lights for softer evenings, while an office needs even, glare-free illumination over desks. Before installation, positions are marked and discussed with you, taking into account furniture layout, ceiling type and where switches will be reached naturally.
The ceiling itself influences the method. Concrete soffits, gypsum false ceilings and suspended tiles each need different fixings and cut-outs, and recessed fittings need adequate space above the ceiling. Fittings you supply yourself are welcome, though compatibility with the existing circuit and any dimming arrangement should be checked first.
This service suits new fit-outs, refreshed interiors and replacement of tired fittings. If you are changing an entire scheme, it helps to decide on lighting before ceiling and painting work so cables can be routed neatly rather than retrofitted afterwards.
