Adhesive is chosen to suit the tile and the location, since wet areas, balconies and large-format floor tiles each have different requirements. Spacing and alignment are checked as work proceeds.
If only a handful of tiles are damaged, tile replacement or repair is more proportionate than a fresh installation. A full installation makes sense for new areas, for floors where tiles are loose throughout, or where the design is changing. For a surface change without removing tiles, vinyl flooring over a sound base can be an alternative worth discussing.
The finished result is shaped by how flat the base is, the size and rectification of the tiles, the pattern and the care taken with grout. Your building's rules on contractor hours, lift use and waste removal are also worth checking before a start date is set.
