Overview
A lock only improves security if it is fitted properly. WrapRevive installs new locks on room doors, entrances, cabinets and drawers, including digital models you supply. Preparation of the door and alignment of the strike plate are treated as carefully as the lock itself.
Installation depends on the lock type and the door. Mortise locks need a slot cut in the door edge, cylinder locks need accurately drilled holes, and digital or keypad locks need space for electronics and batteries. The latch and strike plate are aligned so the door closes and locks without force, and the door is checked for sagging that would put strain on the mechanism.
The finished security level depends on the lock you choose and the strength of the door and frame, not just the installation. A strong lock in a weak frame offers limited protection. Where a lock is being added to an apartment entrance, building management may have preferences, so please check. For an existing lock that has stopped working, door lock repair may be the more suitable service.
