The term covers two quite different things. Some 3D wallpaper is a printed mural designed to create the illusion of depth, such as a tunnel, a forest or an architectural scene. Other types are physically embossed or foam-textured and cast tiny shadows that change through the day. Understanding which one you are choosing helps set expectations for how it looks up close and across the room.
Installation is more demanding than for plain paper because a mural is made of numbered panels that must line up precisely. A small misalignment breaks the illusion, so the wall is measured, levelled where necessary and the layout checked before any adhesive is applied. Embossed materials also need gentle pressure so the relief is not flattened during smoothing.
These designs work best on a single, well-lit feature wall rather than every surface in a room. A busy 3D pattern across a small space can feel overwhelming. We will talk through the viewing distance, furniture placement and lighting so the effect looks intentional, and we will tell you if a calmer option would suit the room better.

The wall needs to be sound, dry and reasonably smooth. Uneven or damp walls may need preparation first, which we identify at the assessment.
Embossed designs in particular change with sunlight and lamps. We recommend viewing a sample on the wall at different times of day if possible.
Murals are made to fit given dimensions, so accurate measurements matter. We can measure on site before you order.
Check with your landlord first, since removal can leave marks on some walls. Ask us about removal when you discuss options.
Textured surfaces can hold dust, particularly in Dubai conditions. Gentle dusting or a soft vacuum brush usually helps, subject to the product's care instructions.
