Overview
Old wallpaper that is peeling, stained or simply out of date needs to come off cleanly before anything new goes up. WrapRevive removes wallpaper from Dubai homes and commercial spaces with attention to the wall underneath, so the surface is ready for paint or a fresh covering.
Removal is rarely as simple as pulling a corner. Some papers peel away in full sheets, while others split and leave a backing layer that has to be softened and lifted. Vinyl-coated and heavily textured papers behave differently from standard paper, and the adhesive used originally changes how much residue stays behind. We test a small area first to choose the gentlest effective method.
The aim is to protect the wall. Gypsum board and thin plaster can be damaged by too much water or aggressive scraping, so moisture and tools are controlled carefully. Once the paper and adhesive are off, the wall is wiped down and checked for marks, gouges or hairline cracks. Any repair or sanding needed before repainting is discussed and quoted separately.
Removal makes sense at move-out, before a repaint, or when paper is lifting at joins. It is not always the best option: if the existing paper is firmly bonded and in good condition, a suitable liner or overpainting may be a simpler route. We will give an honest view during the site visit, because the condition of the wall decides what is sensible.
