Vinyl wrapping for suitable non-cooking surfaces in commercial kitchens and pantries, with honest limits around heat, grease and hygiene zones.
Overview
Vinyl wrapping can refresh some surfaces in commercial kitchens, staff pantries and servery areas, but it is not suited to every part of a professional kitchen. We assess where it is appropriate and where it is not. Heat, grease and food-safety requirements all shape what can be wrapped.
Suitable areas are usually those away from direct heat and heavy grease: pantry cabinets, servery counters, storage doors, staff room units and front-of-house cabinetry. Surfaces must be cleaned thoroughly and degreased before film is applied, and edges are sealed carefully. Wrapping can give a more consistent look and cover cosmetic wear on cabinet doors without replacement.
Honest limits matter here. Surfaces near cookers, fryers, grills and ovens are exposed to heat that can lift or discolour film, and grease build-up can undermine adhesion. Food preparation zones may have hygiene requirements, and the choice of finish should be checked against your operating and inspection needs. Stainless steel work surfaces and equipment are generally better left as they are.
Results depend on the surface, its temperature, cleaning routines and the film selected. We recommend discussing your hygiene and inspection obligations with the relevant authority or your own food-safety consultant, as we cannot confirm compliance. Work outside service hours and phasing can be discussed, and landlord approval remains the client's to obtain.
Final scope is confirmed in your written quotation after assessment.

FAQ
We generally advise against it. Heat and grease can lift or discolour film in those areas.
Requirements vary and we cannot confirm compliance on your behalf. Please check with the relevant authority or your food-safety adviser before deciding.
It is possible in some cases, but stainless steel is often best left as it is in working kitchens because of heat, hygiene and cleaning needs.
Mild cleaning products are usually suitable, whereas strong solvents and abrasives can damage film. We give specific guidance after installation.
This can be discussed, though it depends on your site and the scale of work. It is confirmed in the proposal.
